2021 Shiloh Institute: Register Now! April 15 is the deadline.

Dr. Gregory E. Reynolds

On June 16–18, 2021, six to eight ministerial candidates will gather in a charming New Hampshire lodge in the heart of the White Mountains, a quiet setting conducive to thoughtful discussion. The young men will have previously read several books in preparation for lectures and informal conversation that will prompt their reflection on ministerial service in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church.

This gathering is the tenth annual Shiloh Institute, a ministry of the Committee on Christian Education through its Subcommittee on Ministerial Training. Similar to the Timothy Conference, though with an older age group in view, the Shiloh Institute offers a taste of ministry in the OPC through an intensive time of reflection and conversation. Seniors in college and seminary students are especially encouraged to attend. (Lodging fees are covered and travel expenses subsidized.)

Topics to be considered include:

  • The OPC: its distinguishing characteristics and continuity with the Reformed tradition
  • The centrality, nature, and benefits of being a confessional church
  • The importance of the means of grace in the church's mission
  • The meaning of a culturally-aware pilgrim church
  • The work of a minister of the Word in an organized church and a mission work

Applications for the 2021 Institute are due by April 15, 2020. For more information, and to download the application, please visit the Shiloh Institute page.
