November 25 Today in OPC History

On November 25, 2012, the members of Grace Presbyterian Church in Lisbon, New York, were celebrating five generations of church membership for the family of charter member Francis Putney. On that day, Francis's granddaughter, Naomi, and Naomi's husband, Jonathan, professed their faith and were received into church membership, and their daughters, Zoe, Ava and Stella were baptized. Naomi's father, Leslie "Skip" Putney, a ruling elder at Grace Church, was also present.

In 1958 when Grace Church was established, Francis and her late husband, Delmer, were charter members, as were her parents, Elmer and Elizabeth Atkins. All five generations have lived in Lisbon, located next to the St. Lawrence River on the border with Canada.
