November 2 Today in OPC History

On November 2, 2012, Jim G. Stevenson was ordained as a gospel minister and installed as an evangelist to serve as the organizing pastor of Providence OPC in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Before attending Geneva College, Mr. Stevenson grew up at Westchester OPC in Mount Vernon, New York. After his graduation from Geneva in 1991, he married Tricia Althouse, and together they have been blessed with four children, Rachel, Bethany, Jacob, and Joshua. After teaching math for fifteen years and serving as a ruling elder at Trinity OPC in Hatboro, Pennsylvania, Jim felt the call to the gospel ministry and enrolled at Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. He continues to serve faithfully as pastor of Providence OPC.
